The Memphis Division-Jackson Resident Agency of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, and the Counce Police Department are requesting the public's assistance with the identification of the person or persons responsible for the robbery of the Hardin County Bank in Counce, Tennessee this morning.

At approximately 8:45 AM on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, a lone individual entered the Hardin County Bank branch located at 7115 Highway 57 in Counce. The robber was wearing camouflage clothing and a ski mask covering his face. The robber was carrying a hand gun. The robber walked to a teller position and demanded money. After being given currency from the teller's cash drawer the robber exited the building saying "Merry Christmas" as he walked out. No getaway vehicle was witnessed by bank personnel.

Based upon witness interviews, the robber was described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, stocky build, wearing camouflage clothing and ski mask.

The identity of the caller will be kept confidential. A reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the robber is available.
